Last Updated: February 26, 2026

BlueGuard Security LLC ("we", "our", or "us") operates the BlueGuard mobile application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

Information We Collect

BlueGuard is designed with privacy as a core principle. We collect minimal data:

Information We Do NOT Collect

Bluetooth Permission

BlueGuard requires Bluetooth access to scan for nearby devices and assess potential security threats. This is the core functionality of the app. Bluetooth data is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded or shared.

Camera Permission

BlueGuard may request camera access for QR code scanning to pair with the BlueGuard USB hardware device. Camera access is optional and images are never stored or transmitted.

Location Permission

BlueGuard may optionally request location access to provide proximity information about detected devices. Location data is processed on-device only and is never transmitted externally.

Notifications

BlueGuard may send local push notifications to alert you about detected security threats. These notifications are generated entirely on your device.

Data Storage

All data is stored locally on your device using iOS built-in storage (UserDefaults). No data is stored on external servers. You can delete all app data by uninstalling the application.

Third-Party Services

BlueGuard does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data collection services.

Children's Privacy

BlueGuard is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
